Pumped Hydro public information sessions

Hydro Tasmania is hosting community information sessions in the Mersey-Forth area in August to share more information about pumped hydro opportunities, and hear from local residents.

Hydro Tasmania community information sessions

Would you like to know more about pumped hydro and what it might mean for your community in the Mersey-Forth area?

Hydro Tasmania has identified 14 potential pumped hydro options around the state that will be explored further, to look at the social, economic and technical aspects. Some of these options include Lake Cethana, Lake Parangana and Lake Rowallan.

Hydro Tasmania is committed to keeping communities informed about the work they are doing on pumped hydro and is inviting residents to information sessions in August.

The information sessions are your chance to come along and learn more about pumped hydro, ask questions and talk with the project team.

Registrations aren’t required and all are welcome. Refreshments will be served.

At Sheffield, arrive when you want, and stay as long or as little as you like. There will be a presentation at 4.00pm and again at 5.30pm.

At Lorinna, the information session will start promptly at 2pm and run for one hour.
